Who these terms are between

These terms are a binding agreement between you (or the organisation you represent) and Agochar Tech LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, with its registered office at 415 Decora Square, Sadhu Vasvani Road, Rajkot 360005, Gujarat, India. "AskThis", "we" and "us" mean Agochar Tech LLP. "You" means the account holder.

By creating an account, installing the widget, or using our APIs, you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

The service

AskThis provides an embeddable widget that adds social and AI answer-engine sharing to your website, together with a dashboard for configuration, prompt management, analytics and billing, plus APIs and platform plugins.

We improve the service continuously. We may add, change or remove features; where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will tell you before it takes effect. Features available to you depend on your plan.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for the security of your credentials, and for everything done under your account.

You can sign in with an email and password or through Google, GitHub or Microsoft. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication. Tell us promptly at hello@askthis.io if you suspect unauthorised access.

You are responsible for the people you invite into your organisation and for the permissions you grant them.

Plans, credits and billing

We offer a Free plan and the paid Pro, Business and Enterprise plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through our payment gateway. Prices exclude taxes unless stated; where GST or another tax applies, it is added.

AI credits

Credit-consuming actions are listed in the dashboard. Two rules matter:

• Credits included with your plan expire 30 days after they are granted and do not roll over.
• Credits you purchase in a top-up pack never expire.

When credits run out we stop the metered action and show you an upsell. We do not charge you automatically to continue — unless you have switched on auto-reload, which you can turn off at any time.

Cancellation, refunds and the narrow circumstances in which we refund a payment are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Non-payment

If a payment fails we will attempt to reach you. If it stays unpaid we may downgrade your organisation to the Free plan. We will not delete your data because of non-payment without telling you first.

Acceptable use

You may not use AskThis to:

• Publish or distribute unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Attempt to manipulate AI systems maliciously — including prompt injection, or crafting prompts designed to make an AI service produce harmful, deceptive or defamatory output. Our generated prompts are neutral and question-oriented by design, and you agree not to weaponise them.
• Breach the terms of any AI platform we link to, or misrepresent your content to those platforms.
• Inflate, fabricate or otherwise interfere with event data — including generating artificial widget events, whether to distort your own analytics, to influence our datasets, or to earn referral rewards.
• Probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission, or circumvent rate limits, plan limits or access controls.
• Reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product.
• Resell, sublicense or white-label the service, except under an Enterprise agreement that expressly permits it.
• Install the widget on a website you do not control or lack authority to modify.

If you run a website directed at children, note the restrictions in our Privacy Policy — you must not enable sale-consent mode there.

We may suspend access immediately where use threatens the security, integrity or availability of the service, or exposes us to legal risk. Otherwise we will ask you to fix the problem first.

Your content and our scanning

Your website content stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.

To provide the service you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to access, crawl, store and process the content of the pages you register, and to send that page text to our AI providers, solely to generate prompts, summaries and metadata for you. This licence lasts while your account is open and ends when you remove a site or close your account, subject to cached copies expiring.

You confirm that you have the rights necessary to let us do this for the pages you register — including where those pages contain content contributed by third parties.

Prompts, summaries and metadata we generate for your pages are yours to use, including after you leave. They are generated by a language model, so they may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing what you publish.

Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content we have scanned or generated infringes your copyright, write to legal@askthis.io with: your contact details; identification of the work; the URL of the material; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; a statement that your notice is accurate; and your signature (electronic is fine).

We will remove or disable access to infringing material and, where appropriate, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. Under India's Information Technology Rules we act on a valid complaint within 36 hours. If you are the affected publisher you may send us a counter-notice at the same address.

The widget on your site

The widget renders inside a Shadow DOM and is designed to fail silently — it should never break or restyle your page. We are not responsible for problems caused by your modifications to the embed code, by other third-party code on your page, or by your own content security policy.

On the Free plan the widget carries a "Powered by AskThis" attribution. Paid plans may remove it. You may not remove or obscure it on a Free plan.

You are responsible for your website. We do not review, endorse or take responsibility for what you publish.

Your responsibilities to your visitors

Read this section even if you skim the rest. It is the obligation publishers most often overlook, and the one most likely to cause you a regulatory problem.

When you install the widget, you are the data controller for your visitors' data, and we act as your processor. Our Data Processing Agreement governs that relationship and applies automatically — you do not need to sign anything separate.

You are responsible for:

• Telling your visitors, in your own privacy notice, that the widget collects pseudonymous interaction data and what that means. Our free privacy-policy generator produces text you can adapt; you remain responsible for what you publish.
• Obtaining any consent your law requires before the widget runs. We help: in the EU, EEA and UK we discard widget events server-side when no consent signal is present. But the widget still writes a temporary session identifier to the visitor's browser before that gate applies, so obtaining prior consent for on-device storage under the ePrivacy rules remains your responsibility as the controller.
• Configuring your sale-consent mode honestly. Setting it to “grant” asserts that you have obtained consent to the sale of your visitors' data. Do not set it unless that is true.
• Passing on any data-subject request you receive that we need to action, and telling us at once if a visitor objects to the sale of their data.

You indemnify us against claims arising from your failure to meet these responsibilities.

Data and analytics

We collect pseudonymous interaction events through the widget, as described in our Privacy Policy. Where a visitor has consented, and subject to the safeguards in that policy — including a k-anonymity floor of 50 and suppression-list propagation — we may include aggregated, non-identifying signals derived from those events in our commercial datasets.

We never sell data that identifies a person, and we never place advertising in the widget.

You keep the right to your own analytics. You may export them at any time, and you may ask us to stop including your sites' data in commercial datasets by switching your organisation's sale-consent mode off — which is the default.

APIs and plugins

API access is available on the plans that include it. Keep your API keys secret; you are responsible for calls made with them. Rate limits apply per plan and we may throttle or suspend keys that threaten service stability.

Our WordPress plugin and Shopify app are covered by these terms. Where a platform imposes its own rules — Shopify's app requirements, for instance — those apply alongside ours. Our Shopify app reads product data only; it never accesses your customers or orders.

We may change our APIs. For breaking changes on paid plans we will give reasonable notice and, where practical, a migration path.

Referrals

If you take part in our referral programme, you can earn AI credits when someone you refer activates a site or upgrades to a paid plan. Rewards are credits only — never cash — and they carry no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and expire if your account closes.

You must disclose your referral relationship honestly wherever you share your link, as consumer-protection and advertising rules require. Do not spam, do not bid on our trademarks, and do not refer accounts you control. We may withhold rewards and suspend participation for abuse, and our decision on the genuineness of a referral is final.

Availability and support

We work hard to keep the service available and publish our status page, but we do not promise uninterrupted service on Free, Pro or Business plans. Enterprise agreements may include a service-level commitment; where one exists, it prevails over this section.

Warranties and disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We specifically do not warrant that prompts, summaries or AI Discoverability Scores are accurate, complete or fit for any decision you make. They are machine-generated estimates. Nor do we control ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot or Gemini: we do not warrant their availability, their answers, or that they will cite your content. Any answer you or your visitors receive from those services comes from them, not from us.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, however caused.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.

These limits do not apply to your obligation to pay fees, to either party's indemnity obligations, or to your breach of the acceptable-use section.

Suspension and termination

You may cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms and do not fix it within 14 days of notice, if you fail to pay, or immediately where your use creates a legal or security risk.

On termination your right to use the service stops. We delete your data on the schedule in our Privacy Policy. You can export your analytics before you close your account — do it first, because we cannot recover data after deletion.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. We will announce material changes in the dashboard or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the service afterwards, you accept the updated terms; if you do not agree, cancel before they take effect.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts at Rajkot, Gujarat, India have exclusive jurisdiction, and both parties submit to it.

Before filing anything, please talk to us at legal@askthis.io. Most disputes are faster to fix directly, and we will engage in good faith for 30 days.

If you are a consumer, nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer-protection law of the country you live in, including any right to bring proceedings locally.

General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie & Tracking Notice, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Data Processing Agreement, are the entire agreement between us and replace any earlier understanding. An Enterprise order form, where one exists, prevails over these terms to the extent of any conflict.

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

As required by India's Information Technology Rules, our Grievance Officer is Rajesh Dalsaniya, reachable at grievance@askthis.io or at our registered office above. We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
